Bondi removalists · Bondi Beach to Bellevue Hill

Moving in Bondi is a beach-unit problem.

Dense walk-up flats, brutal summer parking, and a council that will not give a removal truck a permit. We plan the kerb, the carry and the lift before move day — that is the whole trade.

We read the building firstWalk-up flat or lift tower, the floor and the carry decide the crew. We confirm the access before move day, not on it.

The feature · why every Bondi move is different

From all-flats to all-houses, in eight suburbs

Bondi is not one kind of move. Bondi Beach is nine-in-ten flats — stairs, no lifts, a scouted kerb. Dover Heights is two-thirds houses — driveways and carry distance. The whole job changes with the building, so we quote on the property, never the postcode. Here is the real spread (ABS 2021):

Bondi Beach
85.7% flats
Bondi Junction
64.9% flats
Tamarama
62% flats
Bellevue Hill
61.4% flats
Waverley
54.6% flats
North Bondi
52.7% flats
Queens Park
25.8% flats
Dover Heights
22.6% flats

How it works

Planned, not improvised

  1. Send the access

Pickup and drop-off, the floor, the lift or stairs, and your dates. We come back with an honest, no-obligation quote.

  2. We plan the kerb

No permit means we scout the legal loading spot, the carry and the lift window at both ends before the day.

  3. Moving day

A careful crew wraps, carries and loads — measured against the landing turn, protected on the stairs.

  4. Settled in

We place it where it belongs, reassemble what came apart, and take the empty cartons away if you like.

Why us

Local knowledge, careful hands, honest quotes

We know the access here

From the no-lift art-deco walk-ups behind Campbell Parade to the lift towers of Bondi Junction and the clifftop houses at Dover Heights — we plan the truck, crew and timing around the real building at both ends.

The kerb is a plan, not a permit

Because no council here will permit a removal truck, the loading spot, the timing and the NSW loading exemption are the whole game. We sort them in advance so the truck is never caught on a clearway.

Insured, every move

Your belongings are covered while we are carrying them. Wrapping and protecting your furniture and your home is part of the job, not an extra.

Transparent quotes

A clear quote based on your actual move and access. What you are told up front is what you pay, with no day-of surprises.

Good to know

Bondi moves, answered

Can you really not get a parking permit for the truck in Bondi?

Correct — and it surprises people. Waverley Council does not issue parking permits to removal trucks (its permits exclude vehicles over 4.5 tonnes), and Woollahra (Bellevue Hill) excludes anything over 3 tonnes. A Works Zone is a construction tool, not a one-day move. So the legal, practical approach is to park the truck legally, scout the best loading spot, and rely on the NSW loading exemption that lets a truck stop while it is actively loading or unloading.

Do you move furniture up walk-up flats with no lift?

Constantly — most of Bondi Beach is exactly that. We plan the crew and carry order around the stairs, measure big pieces against the landing turn, and dismantle a wardrobe or bed rather than force it. It is the everyday job here, not a special case.

Is summer a bad time to move in Bondi?

It is busier, not impossible. Beach parking and foot traffic peak in summer and on weekends, so the loading spot and the timing matter more, and we usually aim for a quieter window. Plan it and a summer move is fine.

How far ahead should I book?

The earlier the better, especially around month-end and weekends when removalists book out. A week or two usually secures your date, but get in touch even at short notice and we will do our best.

Are my belongings insured during the move?

Yes. Your belongings are covered while we are moving them, and we wrap and protect furniture and your home as standard. Ask us about the cover when you request your quote.
